Our group Community Service Project's aim: to render our services towards the development and/ or enhancement of the autistic children.
A major part of our proposal is to construct one high quality multi-sensory cupboard-on-wheels (MS COW) system designed to stimulate the various senses using sights, sounds, scents and feel.
MS COW will have a long-term and meaningful impact to these children.
This idea is derived from the multi-sensory board which is normally used to excite the senses of adolescences in their early development stages.
Since autistic children have more difficulties to be in-synch with their senses, more stimuli are required in their early stages. Thus, the MS COW project is an effort to aid the learning development of the autistic children who are undergoing early intervention programs.
To achieve this objective, we aim to acquire suitable and enriching items/materials to be assembled on a piece of moveable cupboard. We are sourcing for items that are able to stimulate the sense of Visual, Touch, Sound, and Smell.
